Our pace in July is a little different. Throughout this month, we take a Summer Sabbath to slow things down to make room for rest.
The meaning of "Sabbath," rooted in the Hebrew word "shavat" meaning "to cease," encompasses both rest and a deeper connection with God. More than a break from physical work, taking a Sabbath is about stepping away from the anxieties and pursuits that often dominate our lives, allowing for spiritual renewal and reflection.
On Sunday mornings in July, you will see lighter setup and less programming to allow our leadership a break as we prepare for the school year. Sunday worship will be more relaxed and more focused on making connections.
We hope this will allow time for you to connect with your Bridge family as we slow things down, and we invite you to consider how you could incorporate rest into your home and routines this month.
